During 2025-2027 all unrestricted donations and grants up to $1 million will be directed to the Coastal Cares Campaign.

Coastal launched the Coastal Cares Campaign to grow and expand our program and services in both Curry and Del Norte Counties. Generous contributions will ensure Coastal is always here for individuals and families needing our support.

Coastal Cares Vision

A new thrift store serving both Curry and Del Norte County residents

Our thrift store will help convert donated items into a sustainable base of support for non-medical support that provides compassionate care to patients and families experiencing advanced illness at the end of life.

Besides generating program funding, the Crescent City-based thrift store will contribute to the region’s economy by providing much-needed jobs and affordable used goods for sale.

Community funding for non-medical services

Coastal provides “whole person” support for hospice patients and families, including non-medical services that go beyond what insurance will pay for. Contributions will support these special services, including:

  • Responding to special wishes

  • Bereavement support for families

  • Music and massage therapy

  • Pet peace of mind

  • Meeting special wishes
